About our production.

Our competence and flexibility in lamination, coating and further processing is impressive. The JadeProtec® product range is well established in the industrial environment. With modern technology, we process a wide range of fiber-based materials, films and coating fluids. In roll processing, we achieve maximum productivity with basis weights of up to 850 g/m2 and the ability to both laminate and coat. We supply industrial companies on time and with consistently high product quality. Converters appreciate our product development competence and reliability in customer service. Our surface protection products made of paper, cardboard and our laminated corrugated board formats are used by customers in the automotive supply industry, parts production, food processing and logistics throughout Europe. We produce our own product line JadeProtec®, but also supply coatings according to customer specifications. Production at Jade-Pack: competent, precise, reliable. Our equipment production division supplies customized roll widths, roll diameters up to 2,100mm and blanks – for every application. We manufacture rolls for corrugator and honeycomb panel production as well as customized rolls for automatic tray stamping machines. We are just as happy to offer small blanks for KLT as large-format intermediate layers with rounded corners for the beverage industry.

PKV.

Jade-Pack GmbH obtains a large part of its fiber-based raw materials from the Varel paper and board mill (PKV). Our location has been chosen in such a way that the raw material supply can be ensured by a short route and thus also in an environmentally friendly way.

PKV is a medium-sized family business with approximately 540 employees. It produces cartonboard and corrugated board papers for the German and international packaging industry on the basis of recovered paper using the latest environmentally friendly technologies. Cartonboard and corrugated base papers from Varel in Friesland are at the heart of packaging solutions for many well-known products. With an annual production capacity of over 850,000 tons on four modern production lines, the mill is one of the largest production sites in the European paper industry.

Die Gertrud- und Hellmut Barthel Stiftung.

In 1991, Hellmut Barthel established the non-profit Gertrud and Hellmut Barthel Foundation with the aim of maintaining a concentrated and expert shareholder structure in the group of companies around PKV and at the same time allowing the general public to share in the company’s success.

By his testamentary disposition, this was endowed with sufficient financial resources in 1999 at the time of his death. As chairmen of the foundation at the time, Jürgen Evers and Günter Dieball took on the challenge of building up a network of supporters in which the available funds would be used in the best possible way and in the spirit of the goals set by the founder (monument protection, scholarships, environmental protection, art/culture, education and teaching/research). Today, the chairmanship is held by Kristian Evers and Lutz Dieball. In the meantime, the Barthel Foundation has become a reliable supporter of many projects with a broad impact. The regional focus of the supported projects is especially on Varel /Friesland, but in many cases goes beyond.
